Dealing in Malaysian Government Securities- MGS & MGII, both are actively traded in the secondary market. We play our role as financial intermediaries in facilitating price discovery and in doing so, play our role in enhancing local debt liquidity. The desk also provides services on bills both conventional, MT-Bills and Islamic, MIT-Bills as well as local Private Debt Securities.
Money Market
The products covered include inter-bank Ringgit borrowing & lending, REPO, and NCDs both Conventional and Islamic. Other Islamic products include Term Commodity Murabaha, Qard and Islamic repo. We are also a member of Bursa Suq Al-Sila’ where financial institution can appoint us to be an agent to execute commodity purchases on any CMP trades with multi-currency from all over the world.
Foreign Exchange
Transactions conducted on a spot basis, foreign exchange transactions here are limited to the approved inter-bank financial institutions in Malaysia. The desk covers major currency pairs traded in the global markets with a focus on USD/MYR.
FX Swap / ACU
Products include currency swaps and ACU, Dollar Deposits. The desk covers all currency pairs both major and exotic currencies around the globe.
Derivatives
The Derivative Team covers currency options, interest rate swaps, and cross currency basis swaps.
